COURSE SUMMARY
ECG is an extremely important diagnostic skill in the management of our patients. Many of the diagnostic challenges can be met if we use ECG interpretation in a structured manner.
This pre-recorded course sets up the basic skills needed for ECG interpretation by using a step-wise approach, allowing clinician to master more advanced patient specific ECG correlation.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This pre-recorded course will be helpful for the physicians preparing for both undergraduate and post- graduate examinations like MRCP, MCEM, Arab Board, PLAB, MD, FCPS, etc and will be very beneficial to those preparing for ACLS and PALS courses.

The course offers equal learning opportunities to physicians, medical students, nurses, EMTs, and medical educators.

Dr. Zulfiqar Ali FRCP, MRCPS, MRCS A&E, EMDM, PgD Diabetes

Dr. Zulfiqar Ali is a Dubai-based physician. He completed his graduation from Allama Iqbal Medical College, Punjab University Lahore, Pakistan in 1991. In 1995, he joined Ministry of Health, UAE and later Dubai Health Authority in 2004. He obtained MRCP (Ireland) in 2003, MRCSEd A&E (UK) 2005, and EMDM (Italy) in 2007 and MRCPS (Glasgow) in 2014. He got his FRCP (Ireland in 2017) and completed postgraduate diploma (PgD) in diabetes from University of Plymouth, UK in 2019. At present, Dr. Ali is working as Internist/ Emergency Physician at Rashid Hospital Dubai, UAE. He is also Professor of Medicine at Sialkot Medical College and Senior Lecturer with Dubai Medical College. Dr. Ali’s main clinical interest is prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus.

In addition to his clinical commitments, Dr. Ali has great interest in academics, research, teaching and training. Many of his research articles have been published in various international journals. He is actively involved in teaching and training both undergraduates and post graduate healthcare professionals. His personal academic courses and workshops such as Advanced ECG, Clinical Toxicology, Emergency Pharmacology, Essential of Diabetes, Emergency Radiology, ABGs Interpretation, Communication Skills, etc are a regular feature of Dubai Health Authority’s training program. He is also a senior instructor and faculty for many life support training courses such as ACLS, PALS, PEERS, ACLS-EP, PHTLS, and few more. He has been a regional faculty (MENA region) for American Heart Association (2010 – 2016) and played a significant role to establish life support training network in Pakistan.
